In the latest update from Mexico’s ongoing battle against organized crime, the General Prosecutor’s Office of the State of Mexico announced the discovery of the lifeless body of Clemente “El Ratón” ‘N.’ The young man was identified as the leader of a cell of the notorious Michoacan Family, making him a top target for state authorities. This development, which occurred in the early hours of Friday, January 26th, sheds light on the dangerous and violent nature of this criminal organization.
According to reports, Clemente ‘N’ was found in a blue car that had been riddled with over 200 bullets. It is believed that he was responsible for numerous criminal activities including homicides and extortions, mainly targeting small businesses such as poultry shops and tortilla shops. The State Attorney General’s Office had been actively pursuing his capture since November 2021 when a reward of 300 thousand pesos was offered for information leading to his arrest.
This is not the first time Clemente ‘N’ has eluded law enforcement. Last year, on the day he was set to marry his partner, he managed to flee from a church in the center of Villa Guerrero, leaving his bride at the altar. She was later apprehended and is currently linked to a trial for extortion. Along with her, five other individuals allegedly connected to the Michoacan Family were also arrested.
