Following the presentation of the regional music singer, an operation was deployed inside the Palenque to evict the public.
The presentation of singer Luis R. Conriquez at the Texcoco 2025 International Horse Fair ended in total chaos, due to the fact that there was destruction and attempted confrontation inside the Palenque.
Why were there damages at Luis R. Conriquez’s concert?
The events inside the Palenque took place after the regional Mexican singer notified the attendees about the prohibition of singing corridos that make apology of crime.
The measure was intended to comply with the provisions issued by the authorities to avoid promoting narco ballads.
However, the decision was rejected by the majority of the audience, who began to boo the presentation and threw beer bottles at the stage. Some even vandalized the instruments.
In response, organizers and security authorities deployed an operation in the area to remove the public.
What did the artist say?
After what happened at the Palenque de Texcoco, Luis R. Conriquez has not commented on the matter; however, prior to his presentation he published on his social networks that he was going to abide by the provisions and would no longer sing corridos at events.
“There are a lot of people who don’t understand; they think we’re here to set the rules, but the truth is, there won’t be any corridos played at events from now on by any artist. Cheer up, I love you all. The people who love us and see us doing well, even with bachatas, will follow us,” he wrote.

He also didn’t sing narco ballads in Tejupilco
Prior to his concert at the Horse Fair, Luis R. Conriquez avoided singing “narco corridos” during his show in the municipality of Tejupilco, State of Mexico. It should be noted that this territory is controlled by the Familia Michoacana cartel, to which he dedicates one of his songs.
During his performance this Thursday night, as part of the “Expo-Feria Regional Tejupilco 2025,” he expressed that he had to abide by government rules and avoid performing some of his most popular songs due to the potential glorification of crime.
“You came to see me, and I also feel bad for not singing what you want, but in short… everything is fine, to hell with all of that, we’re moving forward, absolutely forward,” he said during his show. He has a corrido about leaders of the Familia Michoacana
Luis R. Conriquez is popular in the world of regional Mexican music, and his repertoire includes the song “Le Apodan El Fresa,” which mentions various criminal activities of the leaders of the Familia Michoacana, Johny and José Alfredo Hurtado Olascoaga, El Pez y El Fresa.
The song is performed with the group “Los Tucanes de Tijuana,” in which they describe the actions of these figures.
Monitoring concerts at fairs in the State of Mexico
On Wednesday, the State of Mexico’s Secretary of Security issued notices to the municipalities of Tejupilco, Texcoco, and Metepec, where mass events are held, to prevent the promotion of the apology of crime.
Currently, the State of Mexico’s Penal Code, in Chapter V, Article 211 Bis, establishes penalties of up to six months in prison for anyone who promotes the apology of crime in the State of Mexico.
“Anyone who publicly provokes the commission of a crime, or glorifies it or any vice, if the crime is not committed, shall be sentenced to three to six months in prison and a fine of thirty to sixty days. Otherwise (if the offense is committed), the corresponding penalty shall be imposed as an instigator of the crime committed,” the code states.
So far, the International Horse Fair hasn’t issued an official statement on the matter.

A big reason the narcos are so powerful. The people love them
Narco corridos are to partially responsible for that. Glorifying a shitty existence is why many young men get dragged into this.
It would be so hard to be the parent of a young man in Mexico.
I keep thinking watching hours of snuff videos should be required for every boy over 12 yrs old.
que locura ponerse asi uanque el artista debio hacer stand up en compensacion :v
