During a Chapiza sweep near Badiraguato, operatives recovered an operational roster from Los Isidros listing sicario subgroups, many marked as dead. The intel loss is a blow to Chapo Isidro, who’s now being blamed by allies and struggling to survive. A U.S. source told me, “He’s doing whatever he can.” When I asked if he’s snitching—“No comment, Mica.”

Fausto Isidro Meza, “Chapo Isidro,” now living in Monterrey, allegedly turned on longtime ally El Sagitario to save himself from federal pressure. Sources say he exposed Sagitario’s offices, triggering raids and a deadly clash that left Sagitario’s son dead. The betrayal has shattered the Beltrán Leyva Organization from within.

“Massive Drug Trafficking Network Linked to Sinaloa Cartel Dismantled by US Authorities in Imperial Valley Bust”

The recent announcement by the United States National Security Investigations Office regarding the arrest of 36 individuals for their involvement in a fentanyl and methamphetamine distribution network has shocked the nation. This operation, which spanned from Imperial Valley all the way to Mexicali, Mexico, was responsible for producing and distributing dangerous drugs in communities across the region. According to the special agent of the San Diego HSI Office, Chris Davis, 28-year-old Araceli Rangel Torres and 29-year-old Carlos Valencia Mendoza – both linked to the Sinaloa Cartel – were among those who have been arrested.
But the arrests didn’t end there. Border Patrol agent Alexander Grindley, who was caught trafficking methamphetamine during work hours, and 53 others have also been charged for drug trafficking, money laundering, and firearms offenses. This decisive blow against the distribution network led by the Sinaloa Cartel has been described as a significant disruption to the flow of dangerous drugs into our communities by Homeland Security Investigations’ associate executive director, Katrina W. Berger.

“The impact of this operation is undeniable,” commented Tara McGrath, the federal prosecutor for the Southern District of California. The investigation, which began in 2019 after the tragic death of a Central Union High School football player from fentanyl consumption, has resulted in the seizure of over 4 kilograms of fentanyl, potentially reaching two million illegal doses, 324 kilograms of methamphetamine, and significant amounts of dopamine and heroin. Additionally, 52 firearms – including unserialized ones and firearm parts – have been confiscated.

The search warrants and arrests authorized by the court have revealed that the 47 identified suspects were involved in various drug trafficking organizations that were part of an extensive network that distributed drugs both inside and outside of Imperial County. “This operation has been years in the making,” stated McGrath, adding that many of the individuals involved had prior arrests for narcotics at both state and federal levels.

As the investigation progressed, more startling discoveries were made. On June 30, 2021, a cache of ghost guns and ammunition, including 15 lower receivers, three upper receivers, multiple barrels and stocks, 18 magazines, 40 9-millimeter Luger rounds, and approximately 400 .223 caliber Red Army cartridges, were seized.
