The cartel faction FEDI/Músicos, led by Fausto Isidro Meza Flores “El Chapo Isidro” and Óscar Manuel Gastélum Iribe “El Músico,” attacked a Cessna plane with high-powered weapons in the mountains of Guadalupe y Calvo, then finished it off with an explosive drone once it.
During a Chapiza sweep near Badiraguato, operatives recovered an operational roster from Los Isidros listing sicario subgroups, many marked as dead. The intel loss is a blow to Chapo Isidro, who’s now being blamed by allies and struggling to survive. A U.S. source told me, “He’s doing whatever he can.” When I asked if he’s snitching—“No comment, Mica.”
Fausto Isidro Meza, “Chapo Isidro,” now living in Monterrey, allegedly turned on longtime ally El Sagitario to save himself from federal pressure. Sources say he exposed Sagitario’s offices, triggering raids and a deadly clash that left Sagitario’s son dead. The betrayal has shattered the Beltrán Leyva Organization from within.

According to recent reports from both Mexican and Australian news sources, three Mexican citizens have been detained in connection with the mysterious disappearance of three foreign tourists in Baja California. The tourists, brothers Jake and Callum Robinson from Australia and their American friend Jack Carter Rhoad, were last seen during a surfing and camping trip in Punta San José, a popular beach south of Ensenada, and have failed to make contact with their families since April 27th. Their concerned loved ones have taken to social media, posting updates and asking for any information on their whereabouts.
The search for the missing men has led to the discovery of a suspect, a 25-year-old woman who was detained by Mexican authorities in possession of one of the missing men’s phones. This has raised suspicion and concern, as blood and human remains were reportedly found in one of the abandoned tents belonging to the missing trio. The Australian government has also confirmed that two other suspects have been arrested in connection with the case.
This isn’t the first time that tourists have gone missing in this area of Mexico. In 2015, two Australian surfers were tragically killed in Sinaloa, sparking concern for the safety of travelers in this region. With no updates or leads on the whereabouts of the Robinson brothers and their friend, their families and friends are pleading for any information that could bring them home safely.
The lacrosse community, to which Callum Robinson belongs, has also joined in the search efforts and is urging anyone with information to come forward. This alarming situation serves as a reminder to always prioritize safety when travelling and to remain cautious and vigilant in unfamiliar areas.

According to journalist Antonio Nieto, these flyers have appeared in multiple municipalities, highlighting the widespread reach of these criminal organizations. The flyers even include instructions on how to make payments, including sending personal banking information to an email address provided by the extortionists. This latest development is just one example of the ongoing presence of cartels in the city, as recent arrests by authorities have confirmed the active roles of the Michoacan Family and the Sinaloa Cartel. The Sinaloa Cartel has faced numerous setbacks in recent years, with top members being arrested by authorities. However, according to security reports, the influence of Iván Archivaldo Guzmán Salazar, also known as “El Chapito”, still looms over the organization. In her latest book, journalist Anabel Hernández reveals that there is a key figure outside of the Guzmán family who could potentially take control of Los Chapitos – José Ángel Canobbio Inzunza, also known as “El Güerito”. Described as “clever and sinister” by those who know him, Canobbio has allegedly played a crucial role in the expansion and control of fentanyl operations in Mexico. His connections with the current governor of Sinaloa have sparked rumors of his involvement in the state’s politics and influence over elections. Despite his low profile, Canobbio’s manipulation and control within the Sinaloa Cartel cannot be overlooked.
