“TULUM.- The State Attorney General’s Office reports that, in collaboration with the National Defense Secretariat (Sedena) and National Guard, Investigators carried out two search warrants issued by the judicial authority of the municipality of Tulum. The search resulted in the seizure of illegal substances, believed to be drugs, as well as tactical equipment and radio transmitters.

The first search took place at a property on Faisán Street in the Tumben Ka’a neighborhood, where the police found various amounts of solid crystalline substances similar to crystal meth, dried green herbs resembling marijuana, and bags of synthetic material containing solid white fragments resembling crack cocaine.

During the search, officers apprehended Irving Ronaldo “N” who was acting suspiciously near the property. Upon a physical inspection, transparent nylon bags containing dried green vegetation, similar to marijuana, were found on his person. He was then taken to the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office in the Fight against Drug Trafficking for further investigation.

In the second search, at a residence on 1 Poniente street in the La Veleta neighborhood, police seized green and dry herbs resembling marijuana, as well as white fragments resembling crystal meth. Additionally, they found clothing items such as tactical gear, radio holders, and black caps with the emblem of a security and logistics company for events.

Specialists from various fields collected evidence from both properties to aid in the investigation. After completing the proceedings at both locations, official seals were placed and the properties were secured. Follow-up on the investigation will continue after the evidence is analyzed.

In the city of Mexicali, a severe windstorm caused chaos and destruction at the local airport. Pieces of the ceiling fell, air traffic was disrupted, and 250 people had to be evacuated. The airport was indefinitely closed, leaving passengers and employees stranded. However, there is hope that the airport could potentially reopen on Sunday afternoon, depending on weather conditions. Airlines are communicating with passengers to find alternative solutions for their flights. The airport is currently undergoing repairs and there is no guarantee that it will be fully functional before Sunday afternoon. In this post, we’ll be discussing the recent evacuation of 78 camping families in the Sierra de Juarez area, as reported by the Municipal Civil Protection Coordination. According to their report, three vehicles were stuck and had to be evacuated, with nine more vehicles being prevented from entering the area. This comes after a previous tour by the Municipal Public Security Department, where they found around 430 people camping in the area.
