TULUM.- The State Attorney General’s Office informs that, in coordination with the Secretariat of National Defense (Sedena) and National Guard, Investigative Police officers fulfilled two search warrants issued by the judicial authority of the municipality of Tulum, where they were able to seize illicit substances, allegedly drugs, as well as tactical equipment and radio carriers.
The first search took place at a property located on Faisán Street in the Tumben Ka’a neighborhood, where members of the Investigation Police confiscated various doses of solid crystalline substance with similar characteristics to the drug known as crystal, dry green herb similar to marijuana, and bags of synthetic material with solid white fragments with the characteristics of crack.
Close to the building, a person who identified himself as Irving Ronaldo “N” was stopped in flagrante delicto, police officers noticed a suspicious behavior so a physical inspection was carried out and during said inspection, transparent nylon bags containing dried green vegetation, similar to marijuana, were found on his person. He was then referred to the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office in the Fight against Drug Dealing to determine responsibilities.
In the second court order, at a residence located on 1 Poniente street, in the La Veleta neighborhood, green and dry herbs similar to marijuana were seized, as well as white fragments with characteristics of crystal, and clothing items such as tactical gear, radio holders, and black caps with the emblem of a security and logistics company for events.
Experts from various specialties collected evidence in each of the raided properties to incorporate them into the investigation files. Once the proceedings were completed in both homes, official seals were placed and the properties were placed under custody.
