Hours after the capture of Audias Flores Silva—‘El Jardinero’—the federal government announced the arrest of César Alejandro ‘N’, alias ‘El Güero Conta’.
Hours after the arrest of Audias Flores Silva—known as “El Jardinero”—was confirmed, Omar García Harfuch, the Secretary of Citizen Security, announced the detention of another member and leader of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG).
García Harfuch announced the capture of César Alejandro “N”—alias “El Güero Conta”—who served as the financial operator for “El Jardinero,” a regional boss within the CJNG and one of the potential successors to Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes at the helm of that criminal organization.
According to information provided by Mexican authorities, “El Güero Conta’s” arrest took place on the streets of the municipality of Zapopan, Jalisco.
Who is César Alejandro “N,” alias “El Güero Conta”?
Omar García Harfuch explained that this second blow to the Jalisco New Generation Cartel resulted in the detention of a financial operator who specialized in money laundering.
According to information posted on García Harfuch’s X profile, “‘El Güero Conta’ is accused of laundering funds derived from illicit activities through various companies and front men, as well as acquiring aircraft, boats, homes, and ranches, and investing in tequila production companies.”

In his post, García Harfuch explained that the arrest of César Alejandro “N” constitutes a “significant blow to the financial structure” of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel.
“The institutions comprising the Security Cabinet maintain ongoing operations to weaken criminal organizations and bring those who perpetrate violence to justice,” he added.
How did the arrest of “El Jardinero”—one of “El Mencho’s” potential successors—unfold?
On the afternoon of Monday, April 27, García Harfuch confirmed the arrest of Audias Flores Silva. After confirming that the detainee was indeed one of the CJNG’s leaders, García Harfuch posted videos of the operation that led to the capture of one of “El Mencho’s” potential successors. Initial reports regarding the capture of Audias Flores Silva indicate that 520 special forces agents from the Secretariat of the Navy participated in the operation carried out in Nayarit.
Thanks to the operation, Audias Flores Silva was apprehended without a single shot being fired. Navy special forces located the CJNG leader in a drainage ditch in the community of El Mirador, Nayarit.
The entire operation to locate ‘El Jardinero’ reportedly took around a year and a half, according to reporters specializing in security affairs.
