In Michoacán, today, for the first time in recent years, a video was released of César Alejandro Sepúlveda, also known as “El Botox,” identified as the leader or main leader of Los Blancos de Troya.
He is linked to the murder of lime grower leader Bernardo Bravo, who was killed in October. In the 4-minute video, El Botox criticized the prices at which the industry buys limes from producers, despite being identified as the main extortionist in the Apatingán region.
The Michoacán Attorney General’s Office is currently offering a reward of one hundred thousand pesos for his capture. However, in the video, he took the opportunity to say that he has the support of the people, popular support, which has allowed him to remain free.
‘At 250, they want to pay 2 pesos more for industry. That doesn’t work for us, being paid like that. They, as industry, because you have them, they’re like businessmen, but really, those people just want to keep the people impoverished. Come and talk to the civilians and see what they want for us. I’m the only one supporting those people in getting the price that you yourself paid.’
