Elements of the Chihuahua State Public Security Secretariat (SSP) found the body of a suspected member of the Sinaloa Cartel on a vehicular bridge in Ciudad Juarez; next to him they left two narcomantas and several containers with more than 300 kilograms of fentanyl and methamphetamine.
According to the initial reports, there were 320 kilograms of drugs and a lengthy text referring to an alleged collusion between the head of the SSP, Gilberto Loya Chavez, and organized crime.
“Here we leave these for you, in case you like, to put them in your seizures, so that your numbers rise. Let’s see if you are surprised that some simple criminals confiscate more drugs than the Secretariat you run,” reads part of the narcomessage.
They also suggested how “strange” it seems that since Loya Chavez’s arrival, “the city has been filled with crystal and fentanyl and has never stopped a criminal leader.”
In the second narcomanta, the exact amounts of fentanyl (19.8 kilograms), china white (20.9), M-30 pills (4.7), and Crystal (273.7) were placed: “319.240 KG, this is the total, do not steal or don’t know how to count in the state.”

It was unofficially reported that the body found in Ciudad Juarez could belong to José Domingo Carrera Bermúdez, also known as “El 010”, identified as the second in command of a cell of the Sinaloa Cartel called Gente Nueva in the municipality of Parral and its surrounding areas.
It is worth remembering that “010” had been kidnapped on August 20 when he attended a horse race in the community of Maturana.
The security cameras captured how armed men in cloned National Guard trucks stormed the scene and took Carrera Bermúdez, which led to the hypothesis that federal authorities had arrested him. However, this version was denied by the state prosecutor’s office.
“El 010” had already been arrested in October 2021 by the Mexican Army, but was released despite being involved in crimes against health, shootouts in confrontations against other cartels, and being in charge of 100 men to attack their enemies with drones and a massive arsenal.
Infobae Mexico consulted the Chihuahua Prosecutor’s Office to confirm the identity of the bound body found next to the more than 300 kilograms of drugs, however, authorities have not yet made a statement on the matter.
