The Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection, Omar García Harfuch reported that Isaí Martínez Cepeda, aka El Chinacate, a nephew of El Chapo, was arrested in Nogales, Sonora, and that an extradition warrant has been issued for him in Tapachula, Chiapas.
A search warrant was executed at a property where 687 kilograms of cocaine, 151 firearms, 363 magazines, and 18 grenades were seized.
These actions reflect the ongoing coordination by the Mexican government to apprehend high-priority targets and thereby weaken the operational capabilities of criminal groups.
