A man who allegedly operates for the Chapiza-CJNG criminal alliance cell was arrested by agents of the State Citizen Security Force (FESC) in coordination with federal authorities, in possession of a significant arsenal that included grenade launcher attachments.
Isaac Neftalí Guzmán Vázquez—presumed innocent until proven guilty by a judge’s sentence, according to Article 13 of the National Code of Criminal Procedure—was apprehended aboard a Buick Encore while driving on Encinas Oeste Street, near the intersection with Guaycura, in the Televisora neighborhood. He was intercepted following intelligence work carried out by security forces.
The 22-year-old man, originally from Guadalajara, Jalisco, and nicknamed “El Güero,” was stopped by security forces who prevented his escape. Upon discovering what he was carrying inside the vehicle, they proceeded with his arrest.
The suspect claimed to belong to the Los Rusos criminal group, but data analysis confirms that he belongs to the faction of the alliance between the Chapiza and the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG).
After checking his personal information in the Plataforma México database, it was also discovered that he had an outstanding arrest warrant in Jalisco for the crime of kidnapping, which is why his transfer to that state will also be considered.
