Durango

A cartel interrogation out of Zacatecas accuses Mayo-aligned gunmen, the Cabrera network from Durango, and elements of local security forces of working together through police protection, prison control, extortion, and rural camps. The claims are unverified, but the message is clear: Zacatecas’ war is inside the system, not outside it.

Durango is talking. Contacts say Ismael Zambada Imperial, “El Mayito Gordo,” left California and returned to Durango, where he was welcomed at a large fiesta and later seen in El Salado. I cannot confirm the protection rumor, but the reaction is real. The Cabreras heard it. So did the Aquiles.

Narcomantas attributed to CJNG appeared in Durango, directly challenging the Sinaloa Cartel faction led by Mayito Floco and the Cabrera brothers. The message uses “usted” while declaring war “between generals,” and warns authorities not to interfere—accusing parts of law enforcement and prosecutors of playing favorites.

This isn’t a most-wanted list. It’s an exposure forecast. Who looks reachable in 2026 based on pressure, sanctuary, and damage already taking place. Some names are bigger. Others are closer. Capture isn’t about importance — it’s about timing, leverage, and which protection layers are starting to crack.
