CULIACÁN._ A total of 60 motorcycles, one razer, one ATV, two vehicles, and two individuals were seized by elements of the Secretariat of Public Security and Municipal Transit who carried out a road safety operation in the town of Aguaruto and several neighborhoods in Culiacán.
According to information shared by the local agency, the seizure of the vehicles was due to violations of the Mobility Law, mainly for not wearing a safety helmet not having a driver’s license or license plates.
Two men were also arrested for violations of the Code of Police and Government, and they were placed in the custody of the Judge of the Holding Cell.
The preventive action operation is part of a permanent campaign to raise awareness among drivers, especially of motorcycles, about the correct use of helmets, roads, and the Mobility Law to prevent accidents where they are involved as much as possible.
Personnel from the Prevention Units, as well as Traffic and Transit, conducted patrols, as well as stationary surveillance, at strategic points on the outskirts and in some neighborhoods of Culiacán.
The vehicles were transferred to the facilities of the Traffic and Transit Unit, waiting to be claimed by their owners.
