A banner reported in Mazatlán displays three women’s photographs and names, but not the usual cartel warning. Its anonymous author uses unsubstantiated sexual allegations and a mocking sales pitch to attack their reputations. With no visible cartel signature, this looks less like a narcomanta than a campaign of public humiliation.
A decapitated man was discovered behind Plaza San Isidro in Culiacán, his head inside a Styrofoam cooler. A handwritten message addressed to “MEN” accused rival cartel members of killing innocent civilians and declared control of the plaza.
