A decapitated man was found wrapped in a green blanket in a vacant lot behind Plaza San Isidro, in southern Culiacán, according to a report circulated by Noticias MX.
Beside the body was a white Styrofoam cooler containing a red bag with human remains, reported as possibly the victim’s head. A light-colored cowboy hat lay on the ground nearby. The victim had not been identified.

A handwritten message addressed to someone called “MEN” taunted the recipient about a missing member of his group. It accused his people of sending youngsters to kill civilians and asserted control over the territory.
The accompanying transcription gives the signature as Chapizza / CJNG / IAG.

The translated sign reads:
There you go, “MEN.” Weren’t your people missing one of their guys?
Keep sending kids to kill innocent people to heat up the plazas. We kill the real ones, not innocent people, you bunch of filthy pigs (valvurines). This turf has an owner, you faggots.
Signed: Chapizza/CJNG/IAG.
