In Chihuahua, the state attorney general’s office reported that among the 9 people killed on the Parral – Jimenez highway is Angel ‘N’ aka El 4, alleged operator of Los Salguiero, the armed wing of the Sinaloa Cartel in Chihuahua.
According to reports and inquiries, the family of El 4 is looking for the prosecutor’s office to begin with a possible identification of the subject since they stopped having communication with him. Among the deceased José Alberto ‘N’, 27 years old, from Delicias, was also identified.
High caliber weapons and fragmentation grenades were used in this attack. It could take some time to identify the victims because they were burned to death.
Authorities indicated that the ambush is a side effect of the violence in this Sinaloa municipality. The Salguiero have maintained a territorial conflict with the New Juarez Cartel (NCDJ) for several years now.
