Navy Arrests El Piyi, Armed Wing Of Los Chapitos

The operation implemented in the Santa Fe neighborhood resulted in the capture of this individual and 6 other people.

Following a major operation in the Santa Fe sector of Culiacán, federal authorities arrested the armed wing of Los Chapitos known as El Piyi.

This was the result of a strong operation carried out in a home in the north of Culiacan.

The ground and air mobilization began this morning at a house located in the vicinity of the Fincas de las Colinas and Montserrat subdivisions, on San Apolinar Avenue, between Santa Ángela and Santa Artemisa streets.

After the capture of Néstor Isidro Pérez, alias “El Niño”, his name became of greater importance in the criminal organization known as Los Chapitos.

Narco ballad singers such as Peso Pluma dedicated songs to this character, in which he was mentioned as a lead hitman.

This arrest comes in the context of the violence that has persisted in Sinaloa for the past 11 days, derived from a conflict between the sons of Joaquin El Chapo Guzman and Ismael Zambada Sicairos also known as “El Mayito Flaco”, son of Ismael “El Mayo” Zambada Garcia.
