Juan Carlos Félix Gastellum, son-in-law of Ismael “El Mayo” Zambada García, pleaded guilty in the United States to four charges related to cocaine and methamphetamine trafficking, as well as money laundering.
Prosecutors identify him as a key operator within the Zambada faction of the Sinaloa Cartel, responsible for coordinating the production and shipment of methamphetamine from Sinaloa and Durango to U.S. territory.
Félix was arrested in Sinaloa in January 2025 and subsequently extradited to the United States. His sentencing is scheduled for March 2027; he could face life imprisonment and a fine of up to $10 million.
