Mayiza – Cabrera Sarabia Org Chart (Durango Side)

A reader recently suggested I put together organizational charts for the cartels. I’ve always pushed back on that idea because the landscape is so fluid and the war is constantly shifting. Still, I think there’s real value in it, and many of you will appreciate having clearer breakdowns, so I’ve decided to start publishing quarterly pieces on different structures.

None of what I’m sharing here is guesswork. This information comes directly from inside the cartel. This post focuses on the Mayiza–Cabrera Sarabia structure on the Durango side.

The next installment will break down the Chapiza structure.

LEVEL 1 – TOP LEADERS

At the top of the Cabrera Sarabia Cartel (Durango) sit the two brothers whose initials and wars define the structure:

• Alejandro Cabrera Sarabia – “02”
• José Luis Cabrera Sarabia – “03”

From them, several armed wings branch out, each with its own chain of commanders, gunmen and territory spread across Durango, Zacatecas, Sinaloa and Chihuahua.

ARMED WINGS UNDER ALEJANDRO (“02”)

1. The “40tiza” – 02’s protection structure

Head of this armed wing:

• Leonel García – “El 40”

Under “El 40” runs a structure built for war and protection, divided into multiple teams directly serving 02.

• Estimated strength:
  
  • Around 20 operational teams
  • Roughly 500 gunmen at 40’s disposal
• Territorial split of the 40tiza:
  • Durango
  • Sinaloa
  • Chihuahua
• Main role:
  • Serve as Alejandro’s (02’s) trusted armed wing
  • Protection for 02 and operational support in key plazas

This wing functions as both shield and offensive tool when 02 needs direct presence or muscle on the ground.

ARMED WINGS UNDER JOSÉ LUIS (“03”)

2. “Olegariza MZ” – The most powerful wing under 03

Head of this armed wing:

• Olegario

He is described as the most powerful armed wing under José Luis (03), with a broad network of mid‑level commanders and cells.

• Commanders under Olegario (mentioned):
  • Pariente
  • Sierra
  • Sargento
  • Lobo
  • Macho Güero
  • Caballero
  • Ruso
  • Charro
• Estimated strength:
  • Around 1,500 gunmen
• Plazas:
  • Presence across all of Zacatecas, under the label “Olegariza MZ”

According to the notes, the Olegariza is the backbone of 03’s muscle outside Durango, with a heavy focus on Zacatecas.

SHARED ARMED WING (02 AND 03)

3. Grupo Flechas – The Cabreras’ shock force

Main commander:

• Javier Angulo Labrador – “38 Flecha”

This group doesn’t serve just one brother. It’s described as a cell that operates for both 02 and 03, deployed to open fronts in contested territory.

• Role inside the org chart:
  • Shock force / vanguard
  • They are the ones who “open the way in war” in whatever terrain they’re sent to
• War history mentioned:
  • First major conflict:
    • Zacatecas, where they are said to have taken control of around 70% of the territory, according to this version of events.
    • Reported current situation:
      • Fighting in Concordia
      • And in the Sierra de Mazatlán
• Grupo Flechas commanders (mentioned):
  • “El Cholo Flechas”
  • Guillermo Aragón Labrador
  • “El 80”, cousin of Cholo Flechas
    • (Real name for 80 is not revealed in the notes)

Grupo Flechas shows up as the spearhead: the ones who go in first when a new war opens or a plaza is being taken.

OTHER CABRERA CELLS (IN DURANGO)

Beyond these three main armed wings, the Cabreras are said to have multiple additional teams under their name, concentrated mainly in Durango.

The notes list, among others:

• 90s
• 21s
• 22s
• 20s
• 7s
• 24s
• 35s

The same notes clarify that many of these teams have not directly entered the recent open war and that they operate only in Durango, acting as reserve, local control or structure waiting to be activated.

CLOSING

What this sketches out is just one side of the puzzle:

• 02 (Alejandro) backed mainly by the 40tiza, projecting force in Durango, Sinaloa and Chihuahua.
• 03 (José Luis) backed by the Olegariza MZ, with a strong gunman base in Zacatecas.
• And between them, Grupo Flechas as a shared shock force, deployed where the war burns hottest: first Zacatecas, now Concordia and the Sierra de Mazatlán.

All of that sits on top of a floor full of coded teams – 90s, 21s, 22s, 20s, 7s, 24s, 35s – that keep the machine alive in Durango without having fully stepped into open war.
