In an operation carried out early Friday morning, federal and state authorities arrested Jesús ‘N’, known as ‘El 30’, identified as the alleged plaza boss for the Sinaloa Cartel in Aguascalientes.
The arrest took place in a gated community in the municipality of Jesús María, where personnel from the Mexican Army and the State Attorney General’s Office executed a search warrant.
In addition to the alleged criminal leader, five other individuals were apprehended in two houses within the same residential complex, located on the highway leading to the community of Valladolid.
According to authorities, all of them operated from this location for illicit activities in the region.
During the search, agents located approximately 50 kilograms of methamphetamine, as well as several firearms. The security forces’ operation lasted approximately four hours, during which time the area was secured and the corresponding legal proceedings were carried out.
The six detainees were placed at the disposal of the Public Prosecutor’s Office and will face charges for homicide, illegal deprivation of liberty, drug trafficking and possession of weapons for the exclusive use of the Army, crimes for which their legal situation will be monitored.
