The bodies of the 14 and 16 year olds had visible signs of torture and were bound and tied.
The two bodies were located by elements of the State Public Security Secretariat (SSPE), supported by personnel from the National Defense Secretariat (SEDENA) and the National Guard, who made a tour of the area.
According to the state officials, the two minors had a missing persons report filed by family members with the District Attorney’s Office in the Northern Zone, but their identities weren’t provided.
At the scene it was said that the two bodies had visible signs of violence and torture, in addition to the fact that they were handcuffed, and the area where they were lying was secured while awaiting the ministerial elements.
Upon arrival, the Forensic Experts processed the scene and removed the evidence to initiate the investigation, which is in the hands of the Prosecutor’s Office.
Minutes later, personnel from the Forensic Medical Service (SEMEFO) arrived to secure and transfer the two bodies, with the intention of performing the necropsy and handing them over to their families.
It is expected that in the next few hours the Prosecutor’s Office will release information about the identities of the two minors and the date they were reported missing.
