In different points of Celaya, Villagrán, Juventino Rosas and Cortazar, Guanajuato, there have been reports of vehicles being set on fire by armed groups in which a fireman identified as Felipe lost his life after being shot while attending to put out one of the burning cars.
The narcobloqueos occurred around four in the afternoon (local time), shortly after the alleged capture of a criminal leader of the Santa Rosa de Lima cartel in San Antonio de las Maravillas and Morales, in the municipality of Juventino Rosas, but so far the authorities have not confirmed it.
According to the local newspaper AM, the detained person would be a son of José Antonio Yépez Ortiz, alias “El Marro”, apprehended in August 2020.
