For the most part, machetes are designed for continuous, relatively low-power strokes. Which is what we see here in the hands of a right-handed assassin as he goes about his business in the removal of his enemy’s head.
Up until he clashed with gunmen from the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG). The deceased man on the ground belonged to the Caballeros Templarios. Had the outcome played in his favor, he would also be just as guilty of delivering those strikes in return.
The tactics cartels use against each other are often synonymous in nature. No one group should be seen as being that much different from one another.
Another captive, only this time alive, finds himself kneeling before a contingent of operatives from the CJNG. His confession on film points out that he was abducted in the city of Morelia. In addition, he’s also an operative for the Knights Templar.
Following his interrogation, a knife comes into view this time instead of a machete. Again, this is a tool that doesn’t take much to employ. The advantage both blades have is their quiet nature in action.
Two videos back to back show us that the Jalisco New Generation Cartel comes in for the win twice this week. It’s expected that the Caballeros Templarios will exact their revenge for those losses.
