As 2025 comes to a close, I want to personally thank everyone who visited Cartel Insider this year. More than 886,000 people spent time on the site in 2025, and I’m grateful for every reader who clicked, read, and shared the work. What makes that number mean even more is that the growth has been organic—built through word of mouth, shared links, and people coming back for the next update.
When I left Borderland Beat in 2023, I made a decision to build Cartel Insider on my own terms. The goal isn’t to chase clicks or be first at any cost. The goal is to provide original content, analysis, deeper insight, and a better user experience.
Cartel Insider is independent and self-funded. I’ve poured thousands into this to build the site I want, improve the overall quality, and keep developing the vision. There’s still more to do, but the progress this year has been real—and I’m grateful you’re here for it.
A special shout-out to the Playboy, Sol Prendido, who keeps me focused and consistently puts out strong content. His linguistic skills are irreplaceable, and I’m grateful to have him as a contributor and partner here.

One last thing before we turn the page: when I launched Cartel Insider in 2023, I had 2,631 readers. In 2024, that jumped to over 175,000. And in 2025, we crossed 886,000. Not a competition—just proof that consistent work adds up.
