On the surface, 24 year old César Eduardo Garrido Celaya appeared to be a successful businessman.
The young man from Coatzacoalcos, Veracruz earned his living through the purchase and sale of tractor trailers in the city of Cuautlancingo, Puebla.
Like most entrepreneurs, he started taking risks to increase his profit margins. The aim was to grow in stature. And his gamble seems to have paid off. Photos online show us that Eduardo Celaya enjoyed lavish trips to Europe. Along with a trendy lifestyle in high-end restaurants.
Unbeknownst to many though, his financial ventures involved private dealings with the wrong elements of society. Unfortunately, those elements also happen to be rivals of the Mencho Special Operations Group G.O.E.M., the armed wing of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG).
The facade that César Eduardo Garrido Celaya lived under came crashing down after armed men from the CJNG abducted him near the restaurant ‘Mochomos’, located in the Plaza Solesta. A heated argument with his girlfriend took place before he was dragged away.
For this broadcast, Garrido Celaya reveals his nexus to organized crime. In addition, the names of other individuals allegedly involved in the Mexican underworld are exposed.
Just last month, at the beginning of that 30 day period, the G.O.E.M. released their interrogation of Alondra Jaqueline aka La Jackie.
Both Alondra and Eduardo were killed off camera afterward.
Captive: He’s the person who steals them. Arturo aka La Mano is his right hand man, both of them are involved. The tractor trailers are handed over to Checita aka El Negro, he dismantles them. And if there’s ever a part of the merchandise that benefits me we send it out throughout the Republic. Once those parts reach their destination a fee is payed. There’s government protection that involves the National Guardsmen and the police.
Sicario: Are they the only ones involved?
Captive: Yes.
Sicario: Is someone else also being payed off because of these illicit activities?
Captive: An individual with the code name Jaguar was payed to give money to someone known as Castillo. Fifty thousand pesos to be exact.
Sicario: Where can we find this Jaguar you speak of?
Captive: I believe that he’s in the city of Monterrey…
