Also in Jalisco, groups of searchers found a property with various signs of what could be a training or extermination camp. This is what the “Hasta Encontrarlos” (Until We Find Them) collective in Jalisco discovered inside a property that organized crime was using as a safe house or training center.
There were many objects suggesting that people had been held there. They were likely there just minutes before we arrived, because there were machetes and…freshly cut grass.
To reach this property—allegedly used as a safe house—one has to travel along dirt roads like this one. This is practically the final stretch to reach the property itself. As we can see, there is absolutely nothing around—just overgrown brush.
And this is precisely where the property is located. The property is located near the El Tecolote ranch in Tlajomulco de Zúñiga, in the Guadalajara metropolitan area. At the site, there are bloodstains, live ammunition, clothing, various sneakers, and drums used for burning bodies.
According to satellite imagery, this place didn’t exist in 2019. It wasn’t until 2020 that this property became visible. It changed over the subsequent years, up to 2025. Based on one image, the site appears to be abandoned.
There is a motorcycle at the scene, and even a prosthetic leg, as well as items known as tire spikes and purchase receipts. Since March, there have been gunshots. Once last year’s dry season passed, that’s when the sounds were heard here.
Where are the authorities? Who is being held there? Do you know who is being held? I never went near it. The collective located this site thanks to an anonymous tip, and the property has been secured by Jalisco authorities while the investigation proceeds.
