Nuevo Imperio Cartel Member Adrián Michel Is Arrested

Adrián Michel “N,” alias “El Terry,” 44, identified as a member of the “Nuevo Imperio” Cartel and the “Los Mal Portados” criminal cell, was arrested in the Azcapotzalco borough in possession of a firearm, a grenade launcher, and various doses of drugs.

His arrest occurred as part of the execution of a search warrant at a property in the Santa Cruz neighborhood of Acayucan, where authorities seized two marijuana dealers, one of them with psychotropic pills and the other with several doses of cocaine, as well as a clear plastic bag with several wrappers, two plastic containers, two bags with the same substance, and a bag with various white, pink, and blue pills.

Also found were containers with marijuana cigarettes, several boxes with the same weed, a gram scale, a cardboard box with various firearm accessories, a pistol with two magazines, a long firearm, a grenade launcher, and a vehicle.

In addition, five notebooks, five cell phones, a plastic box containing several small cardboard boxes and zip-lock bags, two bags with stamps, various documents, a laptop, and a black tablet were seized.

“El Terry” was handed over to the corresponding Public Prosecutor’s Office, where his legal status will be determined. The property was sealed and placed under police guard.

This arrest occurred as part of an investigation and intelligence effort involving members of the Mexico City Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC) in coordination with members of the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC), the Attorney General’s Office (FGR), the Secretariat of National Defense (Defense), the National Guard (GN), the Secretariat of the Navy (Semar), and the Attorney General’s Office (FGJ).
