Human Remains Found in Coolers With Message From the CJNG

The threatening message signed by the CJNG mentions its member ‘Mr. 88’, in whose name the king’s cakes and toys were delivered in Macuspana, Tabasco

Coolers and plastic bags with the dismembered body of at least one person were found, the victim was abandoned along with a threatening message signed by the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG), near the municipal cemetery of Nacajuca.

On the night of Monday, January 13, citizens were the ones who located the human remains, unofficially it is indicated that there are three victims but this hasn’t been confirmed by authorities.

Along with the victim or victims, a narco message was left with the text

“We are the absolute mob of Mr. 88. You should all know by now that this is the fate that awaits everyone who isn’t on our side. We’re toeing the line on this side and the CJNG  happens to be in charge here”. 

Hours before the discovery of the human remains, the abduction of a man was reported in the community of Guatacalca in the municipality of Nacajuca.

In addition, on the morning of January 14, the body of a man was thrown from a moving vehicle in Guatacalca.

• Who is Señor 88? 

The mystery behind the name El Señor 88 persists. Although authorities have yet to fully identify him, he is known to be a top leader within the CJNG, at least in the Tabasco region.
