According to investigations by Mexico City authorities, she is part of the Unión Tepito criminal group. Her name is Heili Maureen Zamora Hernández and she is 21 years old.
The three intentional homicides she is accused of were for controlling drug sales and other illicit activities on behalf of the Unión Tepito.
The first victim of “La Sicaria” was Jonathan Abimael Segretes Gutiérrez, 31, who was shot to death on June 10 on Donizetti Street, in the Vallejo neighborhood, Gustavo A. Madero borough.
Then, on June 26, Jonathan Sinoe Pulido Manilla, 21, was executed on 8th Street in the Cuitláhuac neighborhood, Azcapotzalco borough.
On July 1, the last victim was former prisoner Jair Antonio Albarrán González, shot to death at a bus stop on Antonio Valeriano Street, in the San Francisco Xocotitlán neighborhood, also in Azcapotzalco. He had just left the movie theater with his daughter and ex-wife.
During the investigation into these three murders, agents from the Citizen Security Secretariat (SSC) identified “La Sicaria” and 17-year-old Donovan Martínez Velázquez as the alleged killers.
Officers conducted reconnaissance patrols, as well as fixed and mobile surveillance, on streets in the Buenavista neighborhood of the Cuauhtémoc borough, where they learned the pair of hitmen were traveling.
It was on Insurgentes Norte Avenue, near the corner of Fórum Buenavista Street, where they observed two people who fit the profile of the suspects. Heili Maureen and the minor were acting suspicious and were carrying plastic bags in a backpack. The police intercepted them and, during a preventive search, found 35 doses of apparent crack cocaine, 93 small bags of marijuana, a handgun, six live rounds of ammunition of various calibers, and two cell phones.
“La Sicaria” and Donovan, her teenage accomplice, were arrested, informed of their legal rights, and, along with the seized drugs and other evidence, handed over to the Public Ministry agent.
