The cartel boss was wanted by the FBI and the Attorney General’s Office for failure to comply with precautionary measures
Jesús Salas Aguayo, one of the leaders of the Juárez Cartel in the north of the state, was murdered practically in his own territory. Sources within the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) confirmed last night that “Chuyín” as he was nicknamed, was summoned by “Los Cítricos”, a cell of the same criminal group, and was murdered.
Apparently he was strangled; the events occurred in Ricardo Flores Magón, near the municipality of Ahumada, without the Attorney General’s Office confirming the exact date.
“Los Cítricos”, to whom the execution is attributed, are the brothers Gilberto G. nicknamed “El Limones” and Jorge Adrián G. “El Naranjas”.
Both brothers are linked to kidnapping, mainly, as well as crimes against health and firearms.
It transpired that they summoned “Chuyín”, who arrived with two bodyguards and they were killed with a firearm, while Salas Aguayo was strangled.
Versions of residents of the municipality of Ahumada indicate that the funeral service was already held, however, this violent event has been handled under extreme secrecy. The FGE has not issued an official version on the violent death of one of the objectives of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and who was also wanted by the Attorney General’s Office (FGR) for failure to comply with the precautionary measures imposed.
In addition, the United States Department of the Treasury, through the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), sanctioned a total of five individuals linked to the criminal group ‘La Línea’, among whom is Salas Aguayo.
