Cartel Insider Media Company

Cartel Insider Media Company is an independent publishing imprint focused on Mexican organized crime, cartel history, narco biographies, security, and the criminal figures who shaped the modern drug war.

Our first major project is The 50 Most Influential Mexican Narcos, a long-form historical ranking of the traffickers, bosses, financiers, enforcers, political operators, and criminal strategists whose decisions changed Mexico, the United States, and the global drug trade.

This is not cartel fan culture. It is not folklore. It is not entertainment dressed up as history.

Cartel Insider Media Company was built to publish serious, research-driven work for readers who want the names, the context, the timelines, the power shifts, and the consequences.

Our First Project

The 50 Most Influential Mexican Narcos

The 50 Most Influential Mexican Narcos is the first book published by Cartel Insider Media Company.

The book examines the men and women who left the deepest mark on Mexican organized crime. Some built empires. Some changed smuggling routes. Some created alliances that lasted decades. Others triggered wars, betrayals, crackdowns, prison breaks, massacres, extraditions, and political scandals that still shape the cartel landscape today.

This project is not a list of the richest, the most violent, or the most famous.

It is a ranking of influence.

The book looks at who changed the game, how they did it, and why their names still matter.

The People Behind The Project

Mica Treviño — Founder and Author

Mica Treviño is the founder of Cartel Insider Media Company and the author behind The 50 Most Influential Mexican Narcos. His work focuses on Mexican organized crime, cartel politics, narco history, criminal networks, and the figures behind the headlines.

Sol Prendido

Sol Prendido — Publishing Network / Research Contributor

Sol Prendido is part of the Cartel Insider publishing network and contributes to the broader research, reporting, and documentation of cartel conflict, criminal history, and security developments in Mexico.

Together, Mica Treviño and Sol Prendido bring years of cartel research, translation, documentation, and publishing experience into a book project built for readers who want the deeper story.

Editorial Standard

Cartel Insider Media Company does not glorify organized crime.

The work is direct, historical, and research-based. The goal is to document how power moved through Mexico’s criminal underworld: who built it, who inherited it, who betrayed it, who profited from it, and who paid the price.

Every project is built around context. Names matter. Dates matter. Places matter. Alliances matter. So do the victims, the state response, the corruption, and the violence left behind.

Publishing Mission

Cartel Insider Media Company exists to publish books and research projects that preserve the history of Mexican organized crime without sanitizing it or sensationalizing it.

The 50 Most Influential Mexican Narcos is the first project.

It will not be the last.
