“Exclusive: Journalist Uncovers Secret Location of ‘Monsters’ Used by Organized Crime in Mexico City”

A shocking discovery was made by journalist Carlos Jiménez, who revealed that a workshop specializing in custom-made armored vehicles, also known as “monsters,” was found in the Gustavo A. Madero borough in Mexico City. These vehicles are often used by members of organized crime, but were seized by authorities from the Secretaría de Marina and the Fiscalía General de la República.

Images shared by Jiménez show the intricate modifications made to these vehicles, including reinforced windows and tire-puncturing devices. The workshop was linked to two individuals who were recently arrested and connected to the group Ronda 88. Up to 20 vehicles were found in the workshop and handed over to authorities.

This isn’t the only instance of modified vehicles being used by criminal groups in Mexico. Last weekend, 16 stolen vehicles were found in a public parking lot by the General Attorney’s Office of Mexico City. Five people were arrested, including a 36-year-old man with a red notice from Interpol.
