Thank you for taking the time to read our latest post on cartelinsider.com! Today, we’re diving into the intense court battle between former Sinaloa Cartel member ‘El Güero’ Palma and Marcelo Peña García, the former brother-in-law of ‘El Chapo’ Guzmán.
Peña García recently appeared in a hearing for ‘El Güero’ Palma, where he confronted the incarcerated criminal and accused him of a 2000 murder. However, this confrontation has now led to Peña fearing for his safety due to alleged threats from Palma.
The latest updates reveal that Peña has filed an injunction and attempted to appear in court through a video conference, but his request has been dismissed by a judge. This has caused even more tension and anxiety for Peña, who is now unsure whether he will have to appear in person at the next hearing.
In addition to this case, ‘El Güero’ Palma is also facing another trial for a separate murder charge. Peña García, on the other hand, remains in the protected witness program and has been giving information to the Office of the Attorney General of the Republic under the pseudonym “Julio.”
Stay tuned for more updates on this ongoing legal battle between the two former cartel members. And as always, thank you for your support!

In the latest series of violent events attributed to the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG), two burned vehicles were found on Federal Highway 49. The incident occurred on the evening of March 18th, and state authorities were immediately alerted through the 9-1-1 Emergency System. While no injuries have been reported, investigations are underway to determine the exact causes of the incident. The State Peace Construction Table of the Zacatecas Public Security Secretariat (SSP) has declared that there is evidence linking the CJNG, led by “El Mencho”, to these acts as a response to recent arrests of its members. Videos and images of the burned units have already begun to circulate on social media. However, the situation is now under control and authorities are working together with neighboring states to capture those responsible. The Aguascalientes Public Security Secretariat has also confirmed that there were no incidents of this nature on their surveillance route. They have reassured citizens of their commitment to strengthening security and surveillance efforts in order to guarantee their safety.
