U.S. Ex-Military Arrested for Building Explosives for the Gulf Cartel
In a recent operation led by federal forces, a U.S. citizen and former Army member, William Louis Ahnert, was detained in Río Bravo, Tamaulipas. According to Breitbart, the arrest took place during a raid on a field used by the Los Escorpiones faction of the Gulf Cartel.
The Attorney General’s Office (FGR) reported that Ahnert was apprehended while authorities searched the field. He was swiftly transported to Mexico City to face charges for allegedly manufacturing landmines and other explosives for the criminal group.

In recent news, nine individuals allegedly connected to the Sinaloa Cartel were arrested in Zacatecas, along with the seizure of drugs, weapons and cell phones.
