Alejandro aka El Flaco Sierra or Metro-82 Is Arrested

The Specialized Prosecutor’s Office for Organized Crime captured Alejandro El Flaco Sierra or M82 in Reynosa.

After an operation by Federal Forces in the morning hours, Alejandro “N” or “El Flaco Sierra” leader of a Cartel del Golfo criminal cell was arrested.

In a clandestine operation, elements of the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office for Organized Crime (FEMDO) and elements of the Mexican Army carried out the arrest of a leader of the los Metros criminal group yesterday morning, in a place not yet undisclosed by the authorities on this border.

Along with Alejandro “N” alias “Flaco Sierra” alias “Metro-82” another 4 people were arrested and transferred to Mexico City by the federal authorities after the operation in which no shots were fired, they indicated in a brief statement.

At the site, which has not yet been revealed, the authorities also seized weapons, ammunition, tactical and communication equipment, as well as vests and drugs, in addition to some vehicles which were placed at the disposal of the Public Prosecutor’s Office under guard at the headquarters of the Attorney General’s Office of the Republic of this town.

The authorities indicated that in the tactical operation carried out since early morning, the elements of the Secretariat of National Defense and the Attorney General’s Office of the Republic arrived at the safe house where Alejandro “N” was, managing to arrest him as well as other people.

It was also announced that prior to the actions of the federal elements, some violent reactions were recorded in a sector of the west of the city in colonies such as San Valentín, Bugambilias, Halcón, among others, site where the operations were mainly recorded.
