The Civil Force detains 17 civilians in Nuevo León, seizing weapons and equipment for manufacturing explosives after activating Operativo Muralla (Operation Wall).
In the early hours of December 20, 2025, the Civil Force detained 17 people in the municipality of Montemorelos, Nuevo León. These individuals were attempting to enter the state with weapons and tactical equipment.
Following intelligence gathering, authorities detected the incursion of this armed group and activated Operation Wall to locate and apprehend them.
The detainees were in possession of various weapons and illicit items, including: 14 long guns, 2 handguns, 94 magazines, ballistic helmets, and bulletproof vests. Two drones and materials for manufacturing explosives were also seized.
The arrested individuals range in age from 18 to 39 years old. Authorities identified the detainees by their initials, such as Diego Iván “N” and Carlos David “N”.
The Civil Force, in coordination with the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection, maintains surveillance in the state’s citrus-growing region as part of Operation Wall. This program aims to prevent the incursion of criminal groups into rural areas.
On December 7, a confrontation in Los Ramones resulted in five deaths and the rescue of one person. Officers responded to an ongoing attack, reflecting the constant clashes between security forces and armed groups.
- The detainees were found in possession of weapons and drugs in the vicinity of the Los Lirios community, south of Congregación Calles.
