Municipal authorities confirmed the discovery of three bodies wrapped in blankets with a threatening message on the streets of western Ciudad Juárez.
A violent incident shocked Ciudad Juárez after three bodies were found at a crossroads in the western part of the city. The bodies were abandoned with a message written on cardboard, which prompted police and forensic personnel to rush to the scene.
Where were the bodies found in Ciudad Juárez?
The discovery was made at the intersection of Lorenzo García Street and General Leonardo Bernal Street, where the three bodies were found wrapped in blankets. Next to them was a cardboard sign with a threatening message, suggesting a possible settling of scores linked to organised violence on the border.
Members of the Municipal Police arrived at the site to secure the area and preserve the crime scene. Subsequently, personnel from the Forensic Medical Service (SEMEFO) removed the bodies for transfer to the appropriate facilities, where the autopsy will be performed.
The authorities have not revealed the identity of the victims or the exact content of the message found, but they confirmed that an investigation has been opened. The incident draws further attention to the wave of violence that persists in Ciudad Juárez, one of the cities with the highest homicide rates in the country.
