Alleged CJNG coordinator arrested in Michoacán
Luces del Siglo reports that authorities arrested Manuel Alejandro “N,” known as “El Señor de la T,” and identify him as an alleged regional CJNG coordinator linked under investigation to several violent and organized-crime offenses in the Bajío region.
Manuel Alejandro “N,” known as “El Señor de la T,” was arrested in Michoacán after federal authorities identified him as an alleged regional coordinator of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG). Luces del Siglo reported that authorities associate him under investigation with extortion, kidnapping, homicide, disappearances and small-scale drug trafficking. The report does not establish those allegations as court findings.
Omar García Harfuch, secretary of Security and Citizen Protection, said the detainee operated in the Bajío region of Michoacán, particularly in Angamacutiro, Penjamillo, Panindícuaro, José Sixto Verduzco and Puruándiro. Luces del Siglo said investigators considered him a suspected generator of violence with a criminal presence across those municipalities. The operation involved federal and state security forces, including the Michoacán prosecutor’s office, the state Public Security Secretariat, the Defense Ministry, the Navy, the SSPC and the federal Attorney General’s Office.
The arrest was carried out in connection with the National Strategy Against Extortion. Authorities said the charges attributed to the detainee remain under investigation, and that a judicial authority will determine his legal status and responsibility. Source: Luces del Siglo.
