The alleged killing of the son of Tío Lako, the presumed plaza boss for the CJNG, and the arrest of “El Camaleón” in Michoacán were reported, triggering road blockades this Monday.
Unofficial sources reported the alleged killing of the son of Heraclio Guerrero Martínez, “El Tío Lako,” who is considered the plaza boss for the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG), in Tanhuato, during clashes in Salvador Escalante.
According to the sources, “El Camaleón,” a hitman for the same criminal group operating in the Bajío region of Michoacán, was also reportedly arrested.
The unofficial report indicates that Tío Lako’s son was traveling escorted by several trucks carrying hitmen, including El Camaleón, when they were surprised by an operation to arrest them, resulting in the deaths of two criminals.

The incident prompted a series of drug-related roadblocks on the Morelia-Quiroga section of the highway near El Tigre; on the Quiroga-Comanja section near Santa de la Laguna; on the Mexico-Guadalajara highway near Huaniqueo; on the Zamora-La Piedad section near Las Fuentes, in the municipality of Ecuandureo; and on the Zamora-Ecuandureo highway near El Sauz, in the municipality of Zamora. Jacona-Jiquilpan, near the Port of Lucas, Tangamandapio, as well as at kilometer 15 of the Quiroga-Pátzcuaro
