Ryan James Wedding once represented Canada on the world stage, competing as an Olympic snowboarder at the 2002 Winter Games in Salt Lake City. Today, U.S. authorities describe him very differently: a fugitive drug trafficker, accused killer, and a high-level criminal operator aligned with the Sinaloa Cartel.
Wedding is now listed among the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted Fugitives, with the United States offering up to $15 million for information leading to his capture. According to U.S. officials, he is believed to be living and operating from Mexico, where he allegedly coordinates cocaine trafficking routes and oversees violent enforcement actions tied to his organization.

On December 8, the U.S. Embassy in Mexico released a video tutorial explaining how the public can directly report information on Wedding to the FBI. The move signals a clear escalation. This is not a routine notice—it’s an open call for tips, aimed squarely at people who may have crossed paths with Wedding or his network.
U.S. authorities allege that Wedding runs a transnational criminal organization responsible for moving large quantities of cocaine from California into Canada, using an Ontario-based distribution network. Prosecutors say his role went far beyond logistics. Between 2023 and 2025, Wedding is accused of orchestrating or ordering multiple murders, including two killings in Ontario, one in Niagara Falls, and the murder of a federal witness in Colombia. For information related to that Colombian case alone, the U.S. government is offering up to $2 million.
On November 19, 2025, the U.S. State Department’s Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs formally increased the reward for Wedding under the Narcotics Rewards Program, citing the scale of his trafficking operation and the level of violence tied to his group. That same day, the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) announced sanctions against Wedding, several of his associates, and related entities, freezing assets and further tightening financial pressure.

U.S. officials have repeatedly stated that Wedding operates in alliance with the Sinaloa Cartel, one of the most powerful criminal organizations in the world. While authorities have not publicly detailed which faction he is closest to, the allegation places Wedding inside the cartel’s international cocaine pipeline rather than on its periphery.
The embassy’s tutorial outlines how anyone with information can contact U.S. authorities directly by calling 55-25-79-20-00, pressing zero, and stating they have information about Ryan James Wedding and wish to speak with the FBI. Officials emphasize that even seemingly minor details could help locate him.

Behind the scenes, the push reflects a coordinated effort involving the FBI, U.S. federal prosecutors, and the governments of Canada and Mexico. The strategy combines public tip campaigns, financial sanctions, and international law enforcement cooperation—an approach typically reserved for fugitives considered both dangerous and highly mobile.
Wedding’s transformation—from Olympic athlete to alleged cartel-linked trafficker—stands as one of the more striking arcs in modern organized crime. Once celebrated for athletic discipline and precision, he is now accused of applying those same traits to a criminal enterprise built on cocaine, money laundering, and violence.
U.S. authorities believe he is still out there. And they are making it clear: they want help bringing him in.

I mean 15 million seems like a stretch. I am sure there are many Capos in Mexico that move more work than him and comparing him to Chapo or Pablo like the fbi did is laughable. He is though a very interesting character but like Mexico there are many Characters in Canada.
He is a priority for one reason: He killed a cooperating witness. Nothing pisses off the FBI more.
Mica since you are very well connected with the Mexican underworld. any ideas of who might be providing him protection? without saying a specific fraction.
He’s either in Guadalajara or Zapopan, Jalisco, under the protection of El 03. Or he’s completely isolated in Mexico City.
Notice I didn’t say Mencho—I said 03. According to my sources, 03 is effectively running CJNG, while Mencho is more removed from day-to-day operations than he has ever been.
Make sense since Andrew Clark was also picked up in Zapopan.
Hmmm protected by the 4 letters huh??
You dont say… lol
It’s unbelievable, stupid, and cheap to offer 15 million to someone who’s a billionaire himself. If you want to nail a big shot, you should be thinking about 5 billion. Then people will think, in those organizations, not about 15 million.
$50,000,000 in an escrow will bring some heat.
From my experience they never pay, plus if you’re a US Citizen they aren’t sure if that is after taxes or before. There is a 50% luxury tax on income for millions. They DEA won’t pay in gold Eagle Coins either.
A couple of things-
1) Dude’s not worth a billion, not even close. He may have smuggled product worth a billion dollars at retail but that’s not his take. There are a lot of people in the chain that need to be paid plus the points the bigger fish take.
2) The $15 million is clean money. No need to launder it or hide it from a government. I’m sure there are more than a few people, especially in the Sinaloa area, who would like to be out of the game and this would give them the financial means to disappear and start over.
He was moving 60 ton annually its very possible he was or close.
And look at how many billions the United States has been throwing at it for decades. So a reward of 5 billion for what has cost billions since the declaration of the war on drugs, and they still don’t have it under control.
Trillions! It will never be under control, but that doesn’t mean they should quit. Adult literacy is not under control. Does that mean people should stop trying to help?
The stresses of living in a capitalist society will always bring drug use in one form or another. Its a sad reality.
It’s definitely a sad reality. The pressure on kids these days with social media and easy access to drugs is ruining a generation.
Can’t compare adult literacy to the war on drugs man……
Sorry, if it was offensive.
He should use your plastic surgeon Micah!! Burn his finger tips off- get on ozempic lose the gut. Definitely leave your a shoutout
Thanks, bro. A hair transplant would help too. lol
Lol hahaha yea some dentures too

Chapitos escorted me around the cemetery. It’s in south Culiacán and just a few kilometers from where El Cheyo was killed. They asked me not to go in, because the locals find it disrespectful. Good luck to this guy.
Is he safe in Zapoppan because of the alliance? The US has been really firm on him being Sinaloa aligned.
How did Clark get burned?
Notice how U.S. authorities describe him as “Sinaloa-aligned,” yet stop short of naming a faction. He sourced cocaine directly from Colombia and, according to reporting, paid storage and plaza fees to move it through California. That route, however, is only one part of a much broader portfolio. As long as he’s paying for protection and keeping a low profile, he remains safe—for now.
The money has to be a lot, it’s not billions but tens of millions a year.
He’s paying about 3k a kilo and selling it for at least 20k in Canada. He’s not sending it into border US cities or buyers in Mexico
He’s getting the end destination price and Canada is more than the US big markets like NYC Chicago
And he moves big shipments
350 kilos at a time
So, putting his end price after bribes and transport in Mexico around 6,000 a kilo.
15k profit each at 350 or 224 is a few million each shipment, if they are let’s say 20/21 at wholesale in Canada
Minus his fee to the drivers in the US and the points on the money laundering, it’s still millions Perot each time he touches one down.
He likely earned between 200 million and 300 million.
In Canada he would be getting closer to 17k CAD.
His distributers have to get paid too.
