Culiacán, Sinaloa— In a rare and explosive public declaration, a spokesperson for Mayito Flaco, son of Sinaloa Cartel leader Ismael “El Mayo” Zambada, delivered a scathing message to the Chapitos, the sons of Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán. This seven-minute audio lays bare the fractures within the Sinaloa Cartel as accusations of targeting civilians and breaking traditional cartel codes escalate the conflict between these warring factions.
The message accuses the Chapitos of kidnapping and killing innocent civilians, acts Mayito Flaco’s faction claims violate the unspoken ethics of cartel warfare. The spokesperson challenges the Chapitos to either resolve their issues diplomatically or face proportional retaliation. With detailed examples of recent abductions and murders, including civilians with no ties to organized crime, the communication highlights the unraveling of cartel codes and the devastating human cost of this internal feud.

“This communication goes out to every one of the Chapo Zetas. We’re aware that the gentleman that was abducted yesterday is an innocent civilian. So, we’re gonna settle this matter however it is that you choose to do this. The pace of this war will move in the direction that you decide to take. You guys have been abducting innocent people since this war started.
Most of which were either people who know us directly or indirectly. So, if that’s what you guys want to do then that’s what we’re going to proceed with. We all have family members here. And if we’re gonna start firing against relatives or acquaintances, in order to get intel out of them because of the gunmen or the mob.
Well, let’s get this show going. We can do this however you think it seems right. An eye for an eye if that’s how you want it to be. About a month and a half ago Karla Esther was abducted from the Amistad neighborhood when she was on her way to drop off her daughter at school. Since then she hasn’t appeared.
We want to know more details about this crime and will settle this matter. You’re going to pay for this criminality. The same goes for the father who went to recover his son’s corpse following his abduction from the attorney general’s office. In addition, the brother of one of our operatives who was kidnapped yesterday from his home in the 21 de Marzo neighborhood.
The son of Manolo Sanchez who has nothing to do with organized crime. Nor does he have any previous criminal convictions. His father is involved but only because he’s a compadre of one of our leaders. Nonetheless, his son doesn’t have any involvement with our mob. Jesús Antonio Sauzueta Pérez, who was killed inside his car in the town of Navolato and then lit on fire.
Jonathan Sazuete Garcia, who worked at a Chinese restaurant and was murdered in the Sesenta y Uno neighborhood. The corpse of an old man was discarded in Costa Rica; he was the father of one of our gunmen. This man wasn’t involved with crime. You owe us for this death. These individuals that I’ve mentioned are just a few of so many people that have been killed off.
Therefore, let us know how it is that you want to settle this. Send us an envoy if you want to take care of this diplomatically. We’re not animals and can resolve everything that concerns our gunmen. If you guys killed off all of the people I mentioned earlier then I also will kill off the same amount of your men in return.
If there’s a way for your mob to return my abducted operatives then I also will exchange your gunmen for them. I have many of them and will tell you exactly which ones I have. If you choose to go after our family members then we will do the same as well. However, if you respect them we also can do the same. You have to come to terms with this war if you’ve lost already and accept it for what it is. It does you no good to be out there doing dumb shit against civilians.
If your gunmen are fucking their commanders in the ass then that’s your problem. It’s for the best that you control them. The same goes for your commanders who are fucking their generals in the ass also. You still have to regulate their actions. We’re not some cheap fucks so we tend to have respect amongst ourselves and are well informed of every man’s actions here.
Just as well, we also don’t mess with innocent civilians. And if we’re doing it then it’s because everything has gone to shit already. This is something that you’ve done more than enough of, shooting up homes with innocent families inside. You guys started doing this so we also followed in your footsteps. If you want to kill, shoot, or hunt innocent civilians then we will also do the same.
Remind yourselves that you also have families and that you’re unable to relocate them because you’re all a bunch of broke thieves. It’s up to you if you want to settle this respectfully. Nothing more will come of this and we can all move forward from there. You all know how we’re going to settle this on account of the fact that you owe us.
But it’s up to you how this will be settled. Just let us know how everything is going to finalize between us so that we can proceed. This is a lost war for you guys and I recommend that you leave this area. Whoever doesn’t want problems or wants to save their families needs to leave. You’ve caused too much damage and we’re going to do the same in return.
We’re not going to fuck up beyond what you’ve done. We will just charge you for what you owe. Nothing more and nothing less than this. Therefore, send us a communique to settle this matter. If you want we can fight this conflict how it should be done. Be it with gunmen, operatives, financiers, informants, or culprits that are responsible.
So, let’s move forward with whatever you choose to do. Let us know what the rules are going to be, how they’re going to stay in place afterwards, who’s getting involved and who’s not. Tell us what those ethics are. Are we talking about cousins, brothers, fathers, wives, and daughters? We need to know what that return looks like. Only then can we progress from this.”
Mica’s Analysis: The First Call for Ceasefire
This message from Mayito Flaco’s faction to the Chapitos isn’t just a declaration of war—it’s propaganda aimed at controlling the narrative and justifying their actions. While it calls out the Chapitos for breaking cartel codes by targeting civilians and families, it simultaneously seeks to rally internal support and discredit their rivals.
Labeling the Chapitos as “Chapo Zetas” is a deliberate move, equating them to the infamously brutal Zetas cartel. This insult frames the Chapitos as reckless and unprincipled, contrasting with Mayito Flaco’s faction, which positions itself as the enforcer of traditional cartel ethics. But this isn’t just rhetoric—it’s a prelude to retaliation.
The message’s focus on tit-for-tat violence against civilians underscores how far this conflict has spiraled. By demanding the establishment of rules for war, Mayito Flaco’s faction attempts to reclaim order, but the call for “ethics” is just as much about legitimizing their own brutal responses as it is about preventing future escalations.
This isn’t just an ultimatum to the Chapitos—it’s a message to everyone watching. The faction is signaling its strength, discipline, and readiness to retaliate, all while blaming the Chapitos for the chaos. The unprecedented mention of peace talks, delivered through a lengthy and insult-laden statement, reveals an unexpected shift in the dynamics of the cartel war. While it could be seen as a tactical maneuver, it also underscores the instigator’s precarious position—attempting to save face while extending an olive branch under the guise of strength. In the end, the propaganda serves a dual purpose: to justify their own violence and to push the Chapitos into a corner where they must respond.
Mayito Flaco’s spokesperson leaves the Chapitos with a stark ultimatum: define the rules or face the consequences. This isn’t just about territory or power—it’s about survival in a war without limits. Whether the Chapitos will respond with diplomacy or escalation remains to be seen, but the cost of inaction could be devastating.

Great article Mica !
Thanks
Potentially looking for an alliance later on? Seemed to be a lot less brutal.
Imagine a heavyweight boxing match. One fighter is constantly boasting between rounds about dominating the fight, claiming to be landing all the critical blows. But then, unexpectedly, that same fighter reaches out to their opponent mid-match, offering to call it a draw while throwing in a few veiled threats.
From the outside, you’d have to ask: if this fighter is truly winning, why are they trying to end the fight? Does their confidence match reality, or is this a sign that they’re feeling the strain?
I don’t believe Ivan will agree to peace based on his profile. It’s also important to consider how this move might strain his newly-formed alliance with CJNG.
What are your thoughts on that?
I 100% agree. It just really breaks my heart that Sinaloa is falling apart because of the Civil War. Families are fleeing to nearby states, and eventually no one will back these factions like they once did.
Ivan’s and MF’s egotistical and soiled upbringings will be the end of Sinaloa’s cartel culture. Fighting each other is only helping governments taken them all down.
Can you see any way this doesn’t turn into a Zetas/Gulf split? Because I can’t.
The government is going to take a stronger hand, they years of cdg/z was a different world. No fentanyl, the first years of the Calderon admin blowback
The admin will Pick the brothers or Mayito and give the others up to be capture or killed unless their close people turn them first
It will depend on money, politics, relationships and the temp of the US next year
Nobody is calling for a truce here! Where did anyone get that from? The only subject here is the kidnapping and/or killing of family members, friends or acquaintances that have nothing to do with that life, who are not part of the Mayiza, in other words , of innocent people, that the Chapos have been doing. That’s the only topic. They are pretty much saying “We want to respect innocent people, regardless if they’re family members or friends of any Chapitos. But you mf’ers aren’t doing that. We care for our family and friends that are not involved in this lifestyle, do you guys care for yours? You’ve been doing this since this conflict started and we haven’t been wanting to take it there, but you guys keep doing this shiiii. So now we ask you, is this how you want to do it, then we will do the same. Do you want to put your family members, friends, loved ones that have nothing to do with this in that position? Let us know what you guys decide. And how far it is you want to take it. Define the rules of this engagement. Like we said we don’t want to do this, but you people can’t get away with doing this either without paying back in kind. So it’s up to you. The ball is in your court.”
“Send us an envoy if you want to take care of this diplomatically. “
This one my favorites! MF justifying that they have killed innoncent people.
“Just as well, we also don’t mess with innocent civilians. And if we’re doing it then it’s because everything has gone to shit already.”
“It’s up to you if you want to settle this respectfully. Nothing more will come of this and we can all move forward from there.”
“send us a communique to settle this matter.”
