ZAPOPAN, Jalisco — A shootout along Avenida Topacio—reported near the Cruz del Sur and Bahía intersections—left two people dead and five injured, including a woman, according to Zapopan police.
Authorities secured a Lamborghini Urus and a late-model Yukon at the scene. Images circulating online show the Urus riddled with bullet holes.
Preliminary reports on social media said the attack was aimed at a man known as “El Prieto” (Alberto), described as a well-known figure at the Mercado de Abastos. Officials have not publicly confirmed the intended target or motive.

The attack is more than clear—it came from within the ranks of the Jalisco cartel. They record themselves and carry out attacks calmly.
The Secretary of the Government of Jalisco confirmed that the man who was attacked by gunfire was named Alberto Prieto, who owned a cereal company in the Mercado de Abastos and another transportation company.
The deaths of two people have been confirmed, along with five others injured. One of the injured is a woman and she is in serious condition.

It was later confirmed to me that El Prieto had flipped. The man in the Urus—El Prieto—was aligned with the Mayiza, and the sicarios who put 41 rounds into the vehicle were CJNG, specifically people tied to #77. He had no connection to Mencho. Once he crossed, the clock started. #77’s people were already tracking him, and because the flip was recent—only days old—they didn’t hesitate. They moved fast and finished it right where they found him.

Lo comento por que evidentemente se puede ver que no fue acto cualquiera, la cantidad de disparos, a plena luz del dia, pareciese que o pertenece a una faccion enemiga del CJNG o esta ligado a un acto que afecto a esta misma.

La versión que se maneja ahorita es que era un Valencia y muy probablemente lavaba dinero para el Mencho. El levantón fue totalmente intencional: a plena luz del día y grabado a propósito, lo que deja claro que fue un mensaje, no algo al azar.
La ejecución se parece mucho a la de Cheyo Antrax, que lo tronaron por robarle al Mayo. Esto huele al mismo escenario, sobre todo por la exposición y el estilo de vida—andar paseándose en un Lamborghini también manda su propio mensaje.

I am in no way a cheerleader for any cartel as I first want to see peace and prosperity for the people of Mexico. La Operación MZ en Zacatecas no empezó ayer; lleva años en marcha. En Zacatecas, el Cártel de Sinaloa ha estado peleando contra el CJNG, pero esa guerra nunca incluyó a los Chapitos. De manera intencional, nunca le dieron ningún tipo de apoyo a Mayo. La tensión entre las facciones ya venía creciendo desde años antes de que Mayo fuera engañado y de que ocurriera lo que terminó siendo el secuestro más grande en la historia.
