Five people were executed in Cárdenas, Cunduacán and Jalpa de Méndez between Sunday, and the beginning of Monday, August 18.
Double execution in Cunduacán
Before 10:30 a.m., two men were found shot to death in the community of Cumuapa, First Section of the municipality of Cunduacán.
The victims were found by residents of the district on the side of the main road, near the area known as “El Cuajilote,” who alerted the authorities. Moments later authorities arrived to corroborate the events.
At the scene, they confirmed the discovery of two dark-skinned men with signs of torture and a classic coup de grâce to the head.
One of them was tied up hand and foot, wearing blue jeans, a brown T-shirt and was barefoot. The other was untied, wearing a blue Nike T-shirt, beige shorts, a belt, and black shoes.
The identity of the deceased is unknown at this time.
Another double homicide in Jalpa de Méndez
Some time later, two more men were found executed in the San Lorenzo ranch in the municipality of Jalpa de Méndez.
The victims, identified as Adrián “N” and Santiago “N,” were caught drinking alcoholic beverages in an open-air area of the community, where they were shot to death.
Following the gunfire residents of the community notified authorities, who arrived at the scene and confirmed the deaths of the two men, who were left lying on the ground.
Cárdenas Executed with Threatening Message
In the early hours of Monday, around 12:30 p.m., the body of another man was found dead in the community of El Habanero, in the municipality of Cárdenas, the most peculiar case of the homicides reported yesterday.
The victim was found in an abandoned area with obvious signs of torture. His wrists were tied behind his back, a white hood covering his head, red and black T-shirt tied around his neck. He was partially naked, shirtless, with his underwear pulled down, revealing his buttocks, which had been lacerated by blows.
The rest of his legs were covered with two white cardboard signs that had death-threatening messages dedicated to several names, warning anyone who steals in the area if they do not leave.

It is worth mentioning that on Sunday, a video circulated of a man being tortured and interrogated. He confessed, threatened with a gun to his head and a machete to his neck, saying he was a burglar, explaining who he worked with, for whom, and his modus operandi.
Municipal and state authorities were present at the crime scenes, conducting the appropriate forensic examinations. Afterwards they removed and transferred the bodies to the Forensic Medical Services (Semefo).
More details of this violent event that occurred this Sunday are expected to be revealed during the next press conference dedicated to security issues held by the State Government.
