The package contained 10,800 doses of the drug which came from Mexico City.
During an operation at a parcel delivery company located south of Merida, members of the K-9 Unit of the Public Security Secretariat located a box containing 10,800 doses of fentanyl and 7,200 doses of methamphetamine, packaged and ready for distribution.
The package from Mexico City was seized and handed over to the Attorney General’s Office (FGR) for the corresponding follow-up.
In the last few weeks, six properties were secured in which police authorities found narcotics, ranging from marijuana, cocaine, crystal meth and fentanyl. In addition, at least six people accused of committing crimes against health have been arrested.
