Juan Pablo ‘N’ was arrested in the town of Surutato, in the state of Sinaloa. He is believed to be working for the Los Chapitos faction.
In an operation carried out in Badiraguato, federal forces arrested Juan Pablo ‘N,’ identified as a Sinaloa Cartel pilot and known by the alias El Chuki.
The operation was carried out by the Ministry of National Defense, the Attorney General’s Office (FGR), and the Ministry of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC).
What is ‘El Chuki’ accused of?
According to the investigation, Juan Pablo ‘N,’ 26, is identified as a pilot working for the Los Chapitos faction.
The young pilot was targeted by federal authorities for his involvement in organized crime related to arms trafficking.
This is how the arrest unfolded
Investigations conducted by the Specialized Deputy Prosecutor’s Office identified El Chucky’s movements, as well as several addresses and vehicles he used to hide.
It was in the mountain town of Surutato, in Badiraguato, where officers deployed a surveillance operation that culminated in his capture.
When he was intercepted, he was stopped, his identity was verified, and the outstanding arrest warrant was executed.
The arrest is part of criminal case 15/23 of the Specialized Unit for the Investigation of Terrorism, Stockpiling, and Arms Trafficking of the FEMDO.
Twelve other members of the Sinaloa Cartel are also included in this same investigation, including Ovidio Guzmán, Archivaldo Guzmán Salazar, and Néstor Ernesto Pérez Salas, alias El Nini, and boxer Julio César Chávez Jr.
Strategic Blow to Los Chapitos
Authorities consider the capture of El Chuki a strategic blow against the Los Chapitos criminal structure, which in recent years has intensified its operations in arms and drug trafficking nationally and internationally.
This arrest brings the number of high-priority members of organized crime in Sinaloa to more than 50 since September 2024, amid the dispute between internal factions. The list includes financial operators, security chiefs, and coordinators of armed groups.
So far, the assets seized during the deployment in Badiraguato have not been detailed. However, the central region of the state has been under intense military operations in recent days, with clashes, seizures, and new arrests.
