Dismembered Body Found in Vacant Lot Near Reynosa Municipal Auditorium

Investigative and state authorities learned of the gruesome discovery of a dismembered male body in a commercial space located on a main thoroughfare in the city.

The discovery took place around 3:15 p.m. in a vacant lot next to a commercial space across from the municipal auditorium and the Villa Florida neighborhood. A police response was carried out by State Guard officers and personnel from the Tamaulipas State Attorney General’s Office, who confirmed the gruesome discovery of a dismembered body.

The report was made through an anonymous call to 911, in which they reported that a strong, foul odor was coming from a bundle wrapped in cloth or black bags next to these commercial spaces, which had been dumped inside this vacant lot, next to a power plant.

State Guard officers confirmed the discovery and notified the investigating authorities to verify the body of a man whose feet and arms were dismembered.

Forensic Services personnel arrived at the scene, conducted the necessary investigations, gathered evidence, and then removed and transported the dismembered body to the Semefo facilities as unidentified.

Authorities from the Tamaulipas State Attorney General’s Office emphasized that the victim was a man approximately 40 to 50 years old, based on his features, who had been dismembered by his feet and arms.

The gruesome discovery of the body, dismembered down to its feet and arms, occurred next to some commercial premises located near the municipal auditorium.
