Candelaria “N” of the Santa Rosa de Lima Cartel is Arrested: She’s Linked to “El Marro”

The woman allegedly received direct orders from “El Marro” to attack police officers and is also being investigated for committing other serious crimes.

Candelaria “N” was arrested in Guanajuato accused of being responsible for crimes such as kidnapping, extortion and extortion, allegedly linked to the Santa Rosa de Lima Cartel and attacking police officers by direct order of “El Marro”.

In coordinated actions in the state, Defense, Semar, the Attorney General’s Office (FGR), the National Guard, the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC) and the Secretariat of Security and Peace of the State of Guanajuato (SSyP) arrested Candelaria, who would be one of the generators of violence in Guanajuato.

The woman is being investigated by the authorities for allegedly having a relationship with a person who is behind bars at the State Center for Prevention and Social Reintegration of León, and who provided information to members of an organization to attack police officers, the authorities said after the arrest.

According to information from Grupo Fórmula reporter Carlos Rosanoff, the criminal group referred to in the official statement about Candelaria “N” is the Santa Rosa de Lima Cartel, and received direct orders from “El Marro.”

“Last night, Candelaria, an alleged member of the Santa Rosa de Lima Cartel, was captured and is accused of receiving direct orders from José Antonio Yépez ‘El Marro’ to attack police officers and also to commit murders in various parts of Guanajuato,” he said.

He is also linked to the murder of the Morena candidate for mayor of Celaya, Gisela Gaytán, who died in April 2024, on the first day of her campaign.
