A video has begun circulating on social media in which alleged members of a criminal group denounce the supposed existence of a corruption and extortion ring operating from the maximum-security prison located in the Chontalpa region, in the municipality of Huimanguillo, Tabasco.
In the recording, the individuals mention the prison director, Nicolás Rodríguez Badir, whom they accuse of allegedly protecting several inmates identified by nicknames such as “Beto-Coca,” “Zavala,” “Vampiro,” “Daniel aka El Morro,” “Willian El Psicópata,” and “Lucky.”
According to the accusations made in the video—whose authenticity hasn’t been confirmed by authorities—these inmates allegedly carry out telephone extortions from inside the prison, supposedly having access to cell phones and the internet.
Nicolas Rodriguez Badir, prison director of Huimanguillo. Keep supporting the following scumbags you son of a bitch. Beto Coca, Vampiro, Zavala, Daniel aka El Morro, William aka El Psicópata, Balu, and Lucky.
We’re going to start doing our dirt so it’s best that you be on your toes. You murderers of innocent civilians are kidnapping and extorting people here in Chontalpa. Nicolas Rodriguez Badir aka Conan, you’re use to committing your crimes from Puebla.
We’re well aware that you’re under investigation and that the government isn’t doing anything against you since they’re on your side. You should know by now that your actions will have consequences here. We plan to defend the city of Chontalpa from every dirty individual and anyone else it takes.
