In Ocuilan, State of Mexico, authorities from the State Security Secretariat (SSEM) arrested six men and one woman, suspected members of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG), potentially linked to a kidnapping.
The arrests followed a citizen’s report via the emergency number 911 about a possible abduction. In response, security personnel moved to the Santa Cruz – Santa Mónica highway, near the Santa Cruz Tezontepec neighborhood. There, they noticed suspicious behavior from individuals traveling in a white JAC Frison truck, escorted by two people on a Vento motorcycle.
Upon stopping the vehicles for a routine inspection, officers discovered a man being held against his will. They immediately rescued him and proceeded with a thorough search.
The police seized a 9mm firearm with a magazine, several live rounds, a 20mm shotgun, two bulletproof vests, two tactical helmets, five metal magazines, 200 tire puncture devices, two radio chargers, a signal jammer with 11 antennas, a radio communication headset, and five cell phones.

The suspects were wearing tactical clothing marked with “CJNG” and “Deltas,” indicating their association with the Delta Group, a prominent armed faction of the Jalisco Cartel.
After rescuing the kidnapped man, SSEM officers arrested seven individuals: Luis “N,” 29; Eduardo “N,” 22; Juan “N,” 28; Eduardo “N,” 31; Ángel “N” and Sergio “N,” both 18; and Citlalli “N,” 23. They are believed to be members of a criminal group based in Jalisco.

The Delta Group, officially recognized in 2018, is led by Francisco Javier Gudiño Haro, alias ‘La Gallina,’ according to military documents hacked by the Guacamaya Group. Operating mainly in Guadalajara and its metropolitan area, this group is linked to high-profile crimes, including the attempted assassination of former prosecutor Luis Carlos Nájera Gutiérrez de Velasco.
Ocuilán, the municipality where the arrests occurred, borders Morelos, including areas like Cuernavaca and Huitzilac. According to documents provided to Infobae Mexico in May 2024 by the State Security Commission (CES), the CJNG is active in Morelos, involved in drug trafficking, extortion, assassinations, kidnappings, and arms dealing.
