During an operation under still unknown circumstances, Salvador “N,” also known as ‘El Chava’ or ‘El Chucky,’ was arrested. He is identified as the supposed leader of Los Cazadores, a criminal cell previously affiliated with Los Chapitos of the Sinaloa Cartel.
His capture was recorded in the National Register of Arrests (RND) by the Ministry of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC). However, the official record does not provide details about the location of the arrest or the institution that carried it out.
The record notes that ‘El Chava’ was arrested on June 8, wearing black sneakers, pants, and a shirt. His beard and tattoos on his forearms are listed as distinguishing features.
It is presumed that ‘El Chava,’ also known as ‘El 05,’ could be related to Jesús Humberto Limón López, alias ‘El Chubeto’ or ‘El Cazador,’ a former leader of Los Cazadores who was arrested and charged with drug trafficking and weapons possession in June 2021, due to their shared last names.

Several photographs allegedly attributed to ‘El Chava’ circulated on social media, depicting stacks of $20 and $100 bills, weapons, and off-road vehicles.
In some images, at least two Colt 1911 handguns appear, customized with the image of Chucky, the character from the Child’s Play movie saga, possibly alluding to Salvador “N’s” nickname. The arsenal also includes guns with gold finishes and a light machine gun, apparently used for armed raids by this criminal group.
Los Cazadores, a criminal group operated as an armed branch of Los Chapitos in Sonora, reportedly began operating independently in November 2023. According to reports from the Secretariat of National Defense (SEDENA) consulted by Infobae Mexico, one of their main strongholds is the municipality of Altar.
Under the command of Jesús Humberto Limón López, aka ‘El Noveno’, Los Cazadores were deployed by Los Chapitos to fight for territory against the Cártel de Caborca, led by relatives of Rafael Caro Quintero, and Los Mayos de Ismael ‘El Mayo’ Zambada.

As with other armed groups in Sonora at the end of 2023, the alliance between Los Cazadores and Los Chapitos would have ended shortly after the sons of ‘El Chapo’ allegedly imposed a fentanyl ban in the northern region of the country.
In January 2024, Municipal Police officers captured Carlos Humberto “N,” son of ‘El Chubeto’, in Hermosillo.
When this man was being transported to the Public Ministry, a group of hitmen tried to ambush the official convoy, triggering a clash that resulted in the death of 12 gunmen.
